1. TEAR
A
Tear
in time
can but fall
Upon the Pane
and dies…..
But a Tear Within
and swallowed down
eventually crucifies.
2. GLASS
A
Fist
that shatters
thru that glass –
a shard in pieces
pierces
the jagged eruption
of a vein
of memories
previously cohesive.
3. MEMORY
The porch, a haven
amidst the shards
of broken dreams
now scattered
congealing, pooling
collecting blood
consumes those
molten ashes.
4. healing
You cut
You bleed
You cry
You feel
against the
numbing madness
peace-ing together
pent-up tears
in cascades
reigning down upon us.
5. the footpath
Back to the pane:
Look out aNew
the rains
wash clean the glass;
we see new reflections in our prints
against a curtained, darkened blacktop
a light emerges from within
as dust and ash coalesce…..
